COVID-19 Proof of Delivery
We are temporarily making changes to the way that deliveries are carried out where proof of delivery is typically required to avoid the potential cross-contamination mechanism for COVID-19.
Methods of Delivery Receipt (POD)
- Paper based Delivery Docket
- Electronic Delivery Dockets/Sign on Glass Mobile Devices
What is changing?
- Paper based Delivery Dockets (printed from PFN and/or other systems)
- Continue to print two delivery dockets – 1 to be left with the customer and the other to be taken back to the office
- Customer must visually check the delivery to ensure correct and provide verbal approval without touching the drivers copy of paperwork
- No signature required HOWEVER
- driver should note the customer name (first and last) where possible
- or
- make a note or ‘X’ on the customer signature place to denote the delivery
- driver should note the customer name (first and last) where possible
- Electronic (paperless) Delivery Dockets/Sign on Glass Mobile Devices
- Continue to download delivery information to the device
- Customer must visually check the delivery to ensure correct and provide verbal approval without touching the drivers copy of paperwork or electronic device (those using Androids)
- No signature required HOWEVER
- driver should note the customer name (first and last) where possible
- or
- make a note or ‘X’ on the customer signature place to denote the delivery
- driver should note the customer name (first and last) where possible
- No return of stock
- Rejected or unwanted stock at the time of the delivery can be taken back (only where the stock did not leave the drivers sight)
- Rejected or unwanted stock after the delivery has been made and driver has left customer cannot be returned and must be left at the site
- The customer is to continue to raise stock issues or claims as per the existing process and the same day as delivery
Reminder
- Ensure gloves are worn at all times
- Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitiser
- Ensure social distancing of 1.5m
- Wipe down and clean of work equipment –pens, steering wheels, trollies, door handles etc.
